As medical director and team doctor of SC Freiburg’s women’s and girls’ football and of the Freiburger Fußballschule – and as a team doctor of the German women’s national football team – she combines medicine at the highest level with real experience from elite sport.

PD Dr Lisa Bode has looked after athletes at the highest sporting level for many years. Alongside her work with SC Freiburg, she was appointed in 2026 as a team doctor within the medical team of the German women’s national football team.

This experience from elite football feeds directly into the treatment of every patient at Sportklinik Freiburg – with the aim not simply of treating an injury, but of making a safe and lasting return to sport and to everyday life possible.

Alongside her clinical work, PD Dr Lisa Bode is active in research both in Germany and internationally. She is the author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications, a speaker at international congresses and a member of several expert committees of the German Football Association (DFB) and of leading societies for sports orthopaedics such as GOTS and ESSKA.
